Struggling to Tune the Turbo LSX Chevelle & BMW DCT Transmission - 1970 LS Swapped Chevelle
We finally have an update for you guys on our 1970 twin turbo LSX swapped Chevy Chevelle. That last time you saw this boosted muscle car we had just got it fired up for the very first time. And once it was running, we didn't just stop on the work. We installed our custom driveshaft from Knoxville Drivelines and rolling this Chevelle out the door and to the tuner.

A quick question I'm not too familiar with that specific OBS but I know a decent amount about OBS trucks and have one myself. Just don’t know too much about that model do those rims cub stock with it or no they just look nice and I’m curious.

MaxxECU will directly control the DCT without having to mess with the mechatronics. Also, why weld new flanges to the new throttlebodies when you could have swapped the electronics over to your original ones?
Because the electronics were the issue or so we believe (and the tuner)
This is such an awesome build. Level 7 Motorsports recently did this same transmission. They might be able to help sort the transmission out.

I’m doing a very similar build on my E36 M3. Also have a DCT with HGT and going to switch to Cantcu. Sadly you need to buy a new mechatronic, wiring and the ecu. Also need to see if is compatible with your car ECU.
We're gonna give the company we started with another week to see if they can get it together, then start following through on some leads to get this thing running!
@@SalvagetoSavage dont waste your time giving them another week. DriftHQ had it on their car and ended taking it off because the software issues and lag of support. Is all over the internet.

The problem is the company not giving support and servers down.
Luckily there's another company modifying these to work with 3rd party controllers. We'd just have to do some hardwire changes

Maybe get in contact with Jessy from Level 7 Motorsports ? He swapped an LS9 with a BMW DCT (2012) into a 454SS truck. They called it project "Trivette" there's also a bit of info on it on their website.
We might just have to give them a call! This transmission issue is driving us crazy!
Level seven definitely has it figured out. He builds some really bad ass trucks
It was never adequately explained why the oddball transmission needed to be in that car. You guys tend to over - complicate things.
Because when it's properly tuned, these are phenomenal transmissions. GM auto transmissions are mediocre in the best of scenarios.
We explained why we're using a DCT way back when we were making our firewall. As well as when we started fabricating the transmission mounts for it
A DCT is a great transmission, specially for road and roll racing.

All that over the top fab work and then say f…it and mount the throttle cable on top of the intake that sticks out the hood…
How would you mount the throttle cable?
You guys are mad fabricators, make some mechanical linkage with maybe some small heim joints to drop below throttle body over to driver side then cable to pedal below hood , or is throttle body able to be flipped? Putting cable on drivers side and lower. I understand that the customer gets what the customer wants but seeing the cable on top like that really bums me out..
